Donegal featured five debutants against Monaghan - here they are

In their second Dr McKenna Cup match of the campaign against Monaghan on Tuesday night, Donegal manager Paddy Carr gave five new players their first taste of competitive action - Gavin Mulreany, Kealan Dunleavy, Gary McFadden, Philip Doherty and Kieran Tobin

Philip Doherty (Naomh Columba)
The Carrick native joint captain of Naomh Columba last season with Kevin McNern, with the Gaelic Park based club reaching the final of the Donegal IFC before losing out to Dungloe in Letterkenny. Operates in defence for his club, although more than capable of taking a score. Featured for Declan Bonner’s Donegal minors back in 2015 when they lost to Conor Glass inspired Derry. A first cousin of Aaron, who made his Donegal debut last year.
