Richard O'Rourke in action for Four Masters in the Donegal SFC relegation play-off against Termon last year
Four Masters' Richard O'Rourke was part of the ATU Sligo side who were beaten by St Mary's University College Belfast on Thursday in Ballinode.
The Belfast side progressed through to the quarter-finals of the Sigerson Cup, courtesy of a 1-10 to 0-6 victory, with Cormac Murphy from Derry scoring 1-2 in all. ATU Sligo were served best on the scoreboard by Offaly native Aaron Kelleghan, who scored three points, and Joseph Keaney from the Years County.
O'Rourke, who is a second year student in BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and from Donegal Town, played right wing-forward with his clubmate Brian Fegan also part of the panel. Senan Rooney of Aodh Ruadh is with St Mary's. ATU Sligo had won their first outing in the competition against MTU Kerry 4-6 to 0-12.
