Marksman: How the Donegal players fared against Monaghan in Clones

In an improved performance from their defeat against Tyrone, Donegal still came up short in the final quarter against Monaghan with Michael Langan their outstanding performer

Donegal  suffered their second defeat in successive matches when  they went down to Monaghan  in Clones by 1-20 to 0-15. However,  there were some encouraging signs with the return of Michael Langan, Eoghan Bán Gallagher and Oisin Gallen.

They have to recover quickly as they take on Galway in Letterkenny on Sunday next in what will be another crunch match.
