Yvonne Bonner is back in Australia for a second stint in the AFLW.
Yvonne Bonner received a superb welcome by her new AFLW side Adelaide Crows as she jetted off to Australia for a second stint playing professional Aussie Rules football.
The Glenfin ace previously played with Greater Western Sydney Giants for two seasons back in 2019 and 2020.
The former Donegal ace made the trek Down Under along with husband Paul and little daughter Bríd. To make the Bonners feel extra welcome, Crows captain Chelsea Randell and Head Coach Mathew Clarke were there to meet them at the airport.
And to make things sound and feel that little bit more familiar, another Irish Crow, Mayo’s Niamh Kelly, was also part of the welcoming party.
Donegal captain and current LGFA Footballer of the Year Niamh McLaughlin has also signed on the dotted line with the Gold Coast Suns. The 2023 AFLW season gets under way un August and McLaughlin will depart for Oz once Donegal’s interest in the All-Ireland series has ended.
