Michael Murphy part of new body set up to look at direction of Gaelic Football

Donegal legend Michael Murphy.

Michael Murphy has been named as part of a new GAA review committee tasked to look at the direction of Gaelic football moving forward.

National Player Development chief Jack Cooney, at the request of GAA president Larry McCarthy, has assembled a quite impressive panel that also includes the likes of Billy Morgan, Pat Gilroy, Malachy O’Rourke, Mickey Ned O’Sullivan and current playing rules committee chair David Hassan.

Cooney previously worked with Murphy back in 2015 and ‘16, when he was part of Rory Gallagher’s Donegal backroom team

The group - who have already looked at several NFL and championship games this year - will examine the state of Gaelic Football and it will meet collectively for the very first time next week.
