Jim McGuinness is back in charge of Donegal.
Donegal are due to begin their preparation for next season with a special training camp, county committee were informed at their monthly meeting on Monday night.
New manager Jim McGuinnness aims to take his squad away for a seven-day gettogether, club delegates were told, in December.
And the Democrat has also learned that the training camp had a price tag of €80,000 and that the funds were already in place to cover the cost of the camp.
However, county committee was not told the exact location of the camp or whether it was at home or abroad.
Donegal will begin the new season in early January with Dr McKenna Cup action and they get the new Allianz League season up and running at the end of January.
Donegal will play in Division 2 next season after being relegated from the top flight this term.
Donegal clubs were also informed on Monday night that the county board hope to be in a position to advertise for the role of Chief Operations Manager soon.
The new head of operations position was recommended after details of Croke Park’s review of the county’s financial practices, governance and issues around their high-profile Academy fallout emerged.
The report was prompted by Karl Lacey’s resignation as Academy lead and the mass exodus of his coaches last February.
The Chief Operations Manager is a full-time position with a wide range of responsibilities in relation to running the affairs of the county. It is hoped to fill the position early, in the new year.
