Carl McHugh and his FC Goa teammates secured a hard-earned 1-0 ISL win over Kerala Blasters at a packed Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Sunday.

Rowllin Borges scored the only goal of the match for the Men in Orange, who registered a sixth win in seven matches this season and also extended their undefeated start to their league campaign.

The breakthrough finally arrived in added time at the end of the first half as Borges pounced to put his team ahead.

Leitirmacaward native McHugh, in a defensive midfield role, was again excellent for the winners

Following Sunday’s result, FC Goa have reclaimed their position at the top of the table, with 19 points from seven matches. 

They return to action on December 12 when they will lock horns against Mumbai City FC.
