Niamh McLaughlin is one of 22 returning players at The Gold Coast Suns as the AFLW side confirmed its list for 2024.

The 22 returning players will be joined by All-Australian tall Katie Lynch, key defender Charlotte Wilson and young Queenslander Ella Smith who all completed moves to the Gold Coast during the recent Trade Period.

Gold Coast also hold a second-round selection and five third-round selections in Monday night’s AFLW Draft.

McLaughlin though will be returning home in the Australian off season as Donegal begin life under new boss John McNulty.

Meanwhile, Tanya Kennedy has also agreed a one-year contract extension with the Sydney Swans. The Robert Emmets girl also had a spectacular first campaign in Aussie Rules.

Donegal’s other AFLW star, Yvonne Bonner, recently confirmed she’ll be returning home permanently having shone for the Adelaide Crows this term.
