St Eunan’s GAA will have a Help Desk at O’Donnell Park for Donegal’s upcoming match
St Eunan’s chairman John Haran has announced vis his X account (formerly known as Twitter) that St Eunan’s GAA will have a Help Desk at O’Donnell Park for Donegal’s upcoming clash with Fermanagh tomorrow to help and assist anyone struggling to access tickets.
This comes following the announcement yesterday that the GAA said that screenshots of mobile tickets will no longer work for entry to games.
This is in the hope that it will divert supporters to a Ticketmaster account where they can download their PDF ticket to their online wallet.
In an official statement via their Croke Park site, the GAA stated that, “Mobile tickets must be downloaded to your phone wallet in advance. Printed tickets will also be acceptable.”
Fans have responded swiftly online with general anger saying: “The GAA obviously don’t take into consideration the age demographic of some people. It’s not as if people are making a profit out of selling their tickets. Grab All Association.”
Another account responded saying: “This along with no cash being taken is just two fingers to the older loyal supporter.”
However, Haran and the St Eunan’s club have eased the anger in the north-west of the country by stating the ‘Help Desk’ at the ground tomorrow will assist all fans in accessing their tickets and that tickets can be bought on the day at the ground.
“If someone wants to buy their tickets with cash on the day at the ground, we will help facilitate this by buying the ticket via club phone and credit card,” said Haran.
“It’s just a helping hand. We’d obviously encourage people to buy their tickets online beforehand, but anyone with a problem we’ll get them sorted.”
