In Pictures: Donegal's seven promotions to Division 1 over last 36 years

On Saturday last in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, Donegal won promotion to Division 1 for the 7th time - the first coming under the guidance of Tom Conaghan in the 1987/88 season.

2011

Donegal’s first year with Jim McGuinness in charge saw them promoted to Division 1 on score difference. They drew their opening game with Sligo but lost their final game away to Laois, but still got promoted along with Laois. They then defeated Laois in the league final to begin a great era for McGuinness and Donegal.
