In Pictures: Donegal's seven promotions to Division 1 over last 36 years

On Saturday last in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, Donegal won promotion to Division 1 for the 7th time - the first coming under the guidance of Tom Conaghan in the 1987/88 season.

Donegal returned to the top flight once more after overcoming Armagh in the Athletic Grounds, thanks to two Michael Murphy goals in a 2-10 to 1-8 victory. It was the second time in three seasons that Donegal would relegate Armagh as they had sent them to Division 2 in 2012 in the final game.

They would go on to lose the Division 2 final to Monaghan in Croke Park a week later
