In Pictures: Donegal's seven promotions to Division 1 over last 36 years

On Saturday last in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow, Donegal won promotion to Division 1 for the 7th time - the first coming under the guidance of Tom Conaghan in the 1987/88 season.

Donegal completed their  return to the top flight on Saturday last with an 0-17 to 1-8 win over Kildare in Netwatch Cullen Park. With nine different scorers and all but  an Oisin Gallen mark from play, it was the first box ticked in the second coming of manager Jim McGuinness. Peadar Mogan was the standout player. It gained Donegal promotion prior to their final game against Meath and booked a place in the league final against Armagh.
