Glenfin cruise to facile win  over Realt Na Mara in Bundoran

Glenfin cruise to facile win  over Realt Na Mara in Bundoran

Frank McGlynn scored first goal to send Glenfin on their way to easy victory

Realt na Mara 1-9

Glenfin 6-12

Glenfin hit three goals in either half to run out comfortable winners in this Division One clash against an out of sorts Bundoran side.

Points from Daniel Marley and Ciaran Brady had the away side two up on 6 mins. Adam McGlone posted Bundoran's first score from a free a minute later.

Glenfin's first goal came courtesy of quick thinking for ex county star Frank McGlynn who played a one-two from a free and blasted to the home  side's net. Budoran then rallied and hit three in a row with two from Timmy Govorov and one from Diarmuid Spratt.

Two further points from Shaun Ward and Odhran Mc Glynn put a goal between the sides on 20 mins. Both sides exchanged scores from McGlone and Co U-20 star Luke McGlynn.

Glenfin's second goal arrived on 25 mins when Aaron McGlynn palmed the ball past Conor Carty in the Realt na Mara net. McGlynn  added another point before Kyle McNulty hit Bundoran's final score of the half. Then as the game entered first half injury time in virtually a carbon copy of the previous goal Ciaran Brady was on hand to palm to the Seasiders net.

Half-time score Realt na Mara 0-6 Glenfin 3-6

The home side introduced Paul Brennan at half-time for his first game this season and he set up Adam McGlone for the first score of the half.

Glenfin replied immediately from Jason Morrow but a Govorov free reduced the deficit on 37 mins. The game was basically ended as a contest when Morrow powered through to finish to the net a minute later.

Odhran McGlynn and Govorov exchanged points before Luke McGlynn notched his second score on 48 mins. Bundoran's only goal came from an excellent individual effort from Kyle McNulty who beat several defenders to finish well to the net.

But any semblance of a revival was extinguished immediately when an excellent counter attack was well finished by substitute Daniel McGlynn. Three further points from Odhran O Connor and substitute McGlynn had the visitors 15 ahead as the game headed for its inevitable conclusion. Then on the stroke of full time Luke McGlynn hit the Gaeltacht men's final goal to cap a miserable night for the men in black and amber.
