Murrin and Kennedy shine as Naomh Ultan overcome Burt

Naomh Ultan secured their third league win with the hosts leading 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time, but it was the two goals from Darragh Murrin that saw the south Donegal side to victory

Darragh Murrin and Cian Kennedy were in fine form as Naomh Ultan chalked up their third league win with a hard-fought four-point win over Burt in Dunkineely.

Wing forward Murrin scored the locals two goals and also chipped in with a point, while midfielder Kennedy kicked five points, in an overall fine performance in the middle of the park. 

Naomh Ultan led 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time in a low-scoring opening 30 minutes. 

The game did open up in the second half as Naomh Ultan added 2-3  to their half-time tally of 0-5 while Burt knocked over six points.  

Shayne Gallagher and Caolan McKinney scored two points each for the men from Hibernian Park while Stephen O’Donnell, Denver Kelly, Mark McElhinney, Oisin Kerr, and Sean McHugh also kicked points on a day with Burt having seven different scorers.

Luke Gallagher and Patrick White also posted points for Naomh Ultan as they saw out the game for the victory.
