Red Hughs might have had county man Stephen McMenamin back in their midst but they still hadn't enough to see off Gaeil Fhánada at the weekend

Mark McAteer and Liam McGrenaghan led the charge as Gaeil Fhánada overcame Red Hughs at Pairc Aodh Rua on Sunday afternoon.

McAteer scored a goal and three points and McGrenaghan hit five points in the five-point win over the locals.

Michael Sweeney, Brandon McClafferty, Paddy Carr and Alan McAteer were also among the point scorers for Gaeil Fhánada. 

Calvin Bradley scored the goal for the men from the Crossroads who had countyman Stepehen McMenamin on board for the first time this season. 

Jack Bradley, Cathair Browne and Pauric McMenamin also kicked points for the home team.  

Red Hughs scorers: Calvin Bradley 1-2, Jack Bradley 0-4, Cathair Browne, Pauric McMenamin 0-1 each. 

Gaeil Fhánada scorers: Mark McAteer 1-3, Liam McGrenaghan 0-5, Michael Sweeney 0-2, Brandon McClafferty, Paddy Carr, Alan McAteer 0-1 each.
