Peadar Mogan with team captain Patrick McBrearty during Donegal's clash with Tyrone on Saturday
Donegal star and St Naul’s man Peadar Mogan has been named GAA.ie Footballer of the Week yet again following his side’s victory over Tyrone in MacCumhaill Park on Saturday evening in the All-Ireland round-robin series.
The Donegal defender is playing the football of his life at the moment as he racked up a total of three points against Brian Dooher’s Red Hand County last weekend which saw Jim McGuinness’s side cruise to a 0-21 to 0-14 point win.
This comes just two weeks after the St Naul’s maestro won the Footballer of the Week following his side’s win over Armagh in the Ulster final in Clones where Mogan nailed two points to win his first Anglo Celt Cup.
The Donegal star received 4,126 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Louth's Craig Lennon (1,991) and Armagh's Rory Grugan (1,642).
Niall O’Donnell, Eoghan Bán Gallagher, and Jason McGee had also been named on the Team of the Week.
This is now the fourth championship week in-a-row that a Donegal player has won the award, with Daire Ó Baoill winning the honour following his side’s win against Derry in the opening round of the Ulster campaign, while Ryan McHugh took the award in Donegal’s semi-final win over Tyrone, with Mogan winning this title after the Armagh match.
