Mark McHugh is onboard with Westmeath for the 2025 season
Westmeath are hoping that Mark McHugh’s influence alongside new boss Dermot McCabe can rejuvenate the county’s fortunes in the coming seasons.
2012 All-Ireland winner McHugh is currently coaching Moycullen, who won the 2022 Galway and Connacht Championships.
And Sean Kelly's side are back in the final again after their 1-10 to 0-10 win over Tuam Stars last weekend. They will now face holders Corofin. The Kilcar native worked with Davy Burke’s Roscommon last year.
And in a statement released by Westmeath on their high-profile appointments, they said: “McHugh, known for his tactical expertise and dedication to the game, will be a key figure in shaping the team’s future.
