The county convention will take place in Pettigo next month
The lineup of nominees for several key positions in Donegal GAA has been confirmed ahead of next month’s annual Convention, which will take place on Wednesday, December 11, hosted by Pettigo GAA club.
The race for the secretary’s position, currently held by Declan Martin, will see Darren Collins, Mary Kelly and Sinead Breen vying for the role. Meanwhile, Collins will also contend with Ed Byrne and Mary Kelly for the assistant secretary post.
The position of Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be a two-way contest between the current PRO, Sinead Breen, and Packie McDyer.

Additionally, 15 individuals have put their names forward for various positions as Ulster and Central Council officers, as well as for delegate roles at the Ulster and National Conventions.
Within the Ulster Council Office, two people are nominated, with nine names having gone forward, which include, Cieran Kelly, Andy Doherty, Donal Sharkey, Fergus McGee, Liam McElhinney, Martin McHugh, PJ McGowan, Sean Dunnion, and William Doogan.
This annual event will mark an important milestone in shaping the leadership of Donegal GAA for the coming year.
