Aidy Glackin is the new Letterkenny Gaels manager
Aidy Glackin is the new manager of the Letterkenny Gaels senior footballers.
The Glenswilly native has managed his own club in the past at both senior and U-21 level.
David Cafferkey and Conor Cuningham will be part of his backroom team. Cafferkey has worked with Glackin at Donegal senior football level in the past under Declan Bonner with both men in charge of stats and analysis.
Glackin took charge of the Glen seniors back in 2015 and was also a member of their backroom team in all three of their SFC-winning seasons in 2011, ‘13 and 16.
Glackin also has third-level Gaelic football coaching experience having been on board alongside Michael Murphy when LYIT, now ATU Donegal, lifted the Trench Cup in 2019 and also when they reached the last four of the Sigerson Cup in 2020.
More recently, he bossed Glenswilly U-21s to B championship success in 2022 and to an U-21 A decider loss to Gaoth Dobhair last term.
