Naomh Ultan senior footballer and coaching officer Aaron Kyles, was a part of the coaching and management team with the Slaughtneil hurlers who lost out in the All-Ireland senior club hurling semi-final on Sunday afternoon.

Sarsfields of Cork are through to the national decider beating the Derry outfit - but only just on a 0-18 to 0-17 point scoreline.

They held on for a one-point win but Slaughtneil will rue a glorious goal chance deep in stoppage time that could well have tipped the balance in their favour.

Kyles has been an integral part of the Slaughtneil setup for the past two years and was very much involved with the team when they produced a superb second-half turnaround to stun Portaferry and lift the Ulster Club Hurling Championship with a 2-19 to 1-19 win at the Athletic Grounds earlier this month.
