Dublin manager Dessie Farrell is a first cousin of Ireland international Seamus Coleman and has often cited Donegal as his second home, but there are more individuals that tie Donegal to the capital

Eoghan O’Gara: In a career that spanned 11 years with the Sky Blues which saw him capture seven Sam Maguire Cups in the process, the Templeogue Synge Street man could’ve so easily been playing for the green and gold of Donegal had things gone differently. 

O’Gara is very familiar with his Donegal roots with his mother Ann Brennan hailing from Donegal Town, while his father Fergal O’Gara has strong connections to Glencolmcille where cousins Paddy and Moya O’Byrne still live.
