Jim McGuinness's side landed their first win on Kerry soil in the National League since 1988 as they secured their second win on the bounce in the 2025 National Football League. Can they make it three wins in-a-row this weekend against Armagh?

1. Building momentum early in the season

Starting the league with back-to-back wins, including an away victory against a formidable opponent like Kerry, sets a positive tone for Donegal's season.

This momentum not only boosts team morale but also sends a strong message to other contenders about Donegal's intentions and capabilities in the 2025 campaign.

Whether this winning trait will continue, that's hard to tell! Donegal have three more games on the bounce before they get any sort of rest. The theory from many supporters is that they should build early points in the league to guarantee safety and then rest some of the key men for their opening championship clash with Derry.

With the first round of the Ulster campaign coming a week after the National League final, many see a league decider as an unnecessary goal when looking at the bigger picture.
