5. Midfield battle without Michael Langan
Kerry's dominance in midfield, particularly through Diarmuid O'Connor's prowess under kick-outs, posed challenges for Donegal.
The early loss of Michael Langan to what is said to be a hamstring injury could have unsettled Donegal. However, the team adapted seamlessly, with Paddy McBrearty stepping in as his replacement with Caolan McGonagle and Hugh McFadden managing well and eventually getting on top.
The partnership of Langan and Jason McGee stood tall as perhaps the county's strongest around the middle but with the St Michael's man looking to face a spell on the sideline, while McGee has still yet to return to the field for Donegal, it could be an area that will see opposition teams take advantage of, as Kerry did in the first half in Killarney.
The biggest thing for Donegal is to manage their squad and keep the injury list low, but the loss of Langan around the middle is no doubt one of their biggest blows so far.
