Eoin Martin stole the show as Naomh Muire, Lower Rosses pipped Milford in a cracking Division 2 League opener in Moyleview Park on Saturday with the corner forward kicking 0-15 in a one-point win.

Daniel Devlin scored the Naomh Muire goal and also kicked a point, while Ferdia Doherty, Fintan Doherty, and Cathal Fee also hit the target for the Danny O’Donnell-managed side. 

Christopher Barret announced his return to football for the first time in three seasons and ended the game with a personal tally of three goals and a point. 

Kane Barrett, Shane Black, Cathal McGettigan, and Conor McHugh were the other Milford men to hit the target.

Naomh Muire, who already have created waves with their surprise win over Kilcar, in the Comórtas Peile Na Gaeltachta championship led this tie by a point 1-7 to 2-3.
