Red Hughs got the new league season off to a winning start with a six-point win over neighbours Robert Emmets at the Crossroads on Saturday evening.
Corner forward Cahir Browne led the Red Hugh’s charge and top scored for the locals and ended the game with a personal tally of six points, four of them from frees.
Bustling full-forward Calvin Bradley scored the Red Hughs goal and also posted a point. Caolan McClintock and Peadar McGlinchey were the other Red Hughs scorers.
