Naomh Bríd 0-8
Burt made it two wins from two in Division 3 when they had nine points to spare over Naomh Bríd at Hibernian Park.
Three first-half goals, two from Darragh Donaghey and one from Jack O’Brien, proved the difference between the sides, with Burt leading by 3-1 to 0-5 at half time.
Aaron McGrory had opened the scoring with a two-point free for Naomh Bríd with the first attack of the game but Burt responded almost immediately with Donaghey finding the net.

Tom Doherty and McGrory exchanged points, before Donaghey hit Burt’s second goal, in the tenth minute, when he intercepted Adam Burr’s kickout and finished low past the stricken keeper.
Gearoid Gallagher and Callum McCafferty hit a point apiece from play for Bríd, but Burt continued to threaten goals at the other end.
Burr turned a Keith McColgan effort onto the post for a good save, but Burt’s third goal came five minutes before the break.
Stephen O’Donnell dispossessed an opponent inside the 20m line and carried the ball forward where he passed to Mark McElhinney, who slipped Jack O’Brien clean through and he poked the ball under the advancing keeper. The Naomh Bríd keeper was called upon again to save from Donaghey before the change of ends.
The Trummon side tightened up their defence in the second half and gave away no more goal chances, but Burt were able to score from distance. Mark McElhinney landed a two-point free and a 45 as the home side reeled off five unanswered points, including efforts from O’Brien, O’Donnell and Darren Gallagher to lead by 3-8 to 0-5 midway through the second half.
Naomh Bríd finished strongly with corner forward Eoghan Gallagher chipping over three points from play, but Burt were able to see the game out.
