Daire Ó Baoill wheels away after scoring a goal for Donegal against Derry
Daire Ó Baoill has been named GAA.ie Footballer of the Week after his excellent performance for Donegal in their Ulster SFC preliminary round win over Derry.
The Donegal star received 3,694 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of Cork's Brian O'Driscoll (1,942) and Tipperary's Steven O'Brien (1,141).
Daire Ó Baoill (Donegal)
Daire Ó Baoill was outstanding in Donegal's impressive Ulster SFC win over Derry at Páirc Seán MacCumhaill. The Gaoth Dobhair clubman drilled over a couple of brilliant two pointers and also added a vital goal for Jim McGuinness' outfit.
Brian O'Driscoll (Cork)
Cork cruised to a convincing Munster SFC victory over Limerick at TUS Gaelic Grounds with Brian O'Driscoll delivering a dynamic display. O'Driscoll, always willing to attack from deep, finished with a six point haul, including some excellent long range two pointers.
Steven O'Brien (Tipperary)
Steven O'Brien inspired Tipperary to a Munster SFC win over Waterford at FBD Semple Stadium. O'Brien, who was at his brilliant best, contributed 1-8 for the Premier County.
