Caelan O’Neill hit 2-9 for Buncrana against Dungloe in their Senior Hurling League encounter at the Scarvey in a 13-a-side match.

The home side led by 4-8 to 2-3 following the opening half. In-form O’Neill hit 1-4 in the opening half with Dylan Duffy, Kevin O’Rourke and Ross Doherty Roe all finding the net. And Duffy and Kevin O’Rourke also weighed in with points.

Dungloe hit back with two goals of their own from Sean O’Donnell and points from free-taker Odhran Mulligan and Thomas Hartnett. O’Neill found the net again in the second half and he hit 0-5 from frees as the Dungloe side tired and the home team steamed clear.

Duffy hit some fine points in this half and Conor Grant and Paul Tourish were also on the mark. For a game but outgunned Dungloe side, Mulligan, Fionntan O’Toole and Hartnett all had points Buncrana was able to run their bench, and this told against the Rosses men.
