LyIT ladies book place in Moynihan Cup final

Letterkenny Institute of Technology booked a place in the Moynihan Cup final on Tuesday night.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology 2-9

University College Cork 2-7

The Port Road women saw off UCC in a thrilling semi-final at DCU.

The teams were locked at 1-7 apiece at half-time and the game was in the melting pot right until the end.

Katy Herron's side emerged victorious with two points to spare.

LyIT were indebted to the goals in either half by Nadine Friel and Emma Howe and the final is on Friday-week, March 11, at 4pm in Dublin.
