MARKSMAN: How the Donegal players fared in the Ulster final against Derry

Not a good day at the office for Donegal with the Derry defensive system making it very difficult for the Tirconaill men to make inroads. The marks reflect those difficulties

1.

CAOLAN WARD: Worked hard and won his battle with Benny Heron. Also got forward on many occasions and almost got in for a first half score. 6.5

2.

BRENDAN MCCOLE: Kept tabs on Shane McGuigan with the Derry man getting most of his scores from frees. Did get forward quite an amount in opening half. 6.5

3.

STEPHEN MCMENAMIN: One mistake from a kick-out led to a point but overall McMenamin put in a big shift although probably not suited to going forward. 6.5

4.

RYAN MCHUGH: Worked really hard throughout and was unlucky with a couple of kicks that were just off target. Did register one good second half point.7
