Late, late penalty gives Naomh Padraig, Lifford a share with Pettigo

It took a penalty deep in added time to get Naomh Padraig, Lifford a share of the spoils with Pettigo.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half with an Eoghan McGoldrick goal and they held that lead until the final play.

Pettigo led by 1-8 to 1-6 at half-time and it looked as if they were on their way to victory when Shaun Robinson hit his fifth point to stretch their lead to 1-12 to 1-9 with time up.

But a late penalty saw Brian Breslin convert to give the home side a share. Breslin was again in magnificent scoring form for the home side, finishing with 2-5. Pettigo lost Jack Britton and Jarlath Leonard to injury in the second half.
