The conclusion of the first round of the Donegal SFC means the line-up and pairings for the quarter-finals and relegation play-offs are confirmed.

St Eunan’s ended up topping the 16-team group by virtue of their 1-11 to 0-6 win at MacCumhaill’s and they will play eighth-placed St Michael’s, who won 0-13 to 0-10 at t Naul’s. Kilcar pipped Bundoran 2-15 to 3-11 and that result means Conor Cunningham’s side are in the last eight against neighbours Killybegs, who won 2-6 to 0-10 at Cloughaneely. Michael Lynch’s team end up surviving with just the one point they picked up on the opening weekend at Four Masters.

Like Kilcar, Aodh Ruadh were given a scare as they won for a fourth time, in their case a 2-9 to 2-7 success at Milford. Naomh Conaill defeated Gaoth Dobhair 1-14 to 1-9 and Glenswilly won in Ardara on a 1-14 to 1-10 scoreline. That means that Aodh Ruadh finished the first round in third and will now take on Gaoth Dobhair, who were six. Fourth place went to Naomh Conaill who will face Glenswilly in the last eight.
