Maeve Brady fires Termon to Division 3 Minor final over Naomh Columba

Donegal Division 3 Minor champions, Termon

The Donegal LGFA Minor season drew an exciting end on Wednesday night when Termon defeated Naomh Columba in a wonderful Division 3 final played at Pairc Taobhoige in Glenfin.

Termon 4-17
Naomh Columba 4-13

This game was the last of four Divisional finals, and just like the other three games played last week, the big crowd in Glenfin were treated to a great match.

For Termon's Maeve Brady it was a night to remember. She scored a brilliant 2-8 for the winners in an outstanding individual performance.

It looked to be going the way of Termon early on as they raced into a comfortable lead, scoring 3-2  inside the opening ten minutes.

But the Glencolmcille side enjoyed a great league campaign, and showed just why they are so highly rated by digging deep and getting some important scores on the board to trail at half time by only five points - Termon 3-10, Naomh Columba 2-8.

The second half was just as even with both sides kicking some fine scores.

At one stage in the half, Naomh Columba had reduced Termon’s lead to only two points.

But the side from Burn Road responded well and scored a fourth goal which proved key. They were able to hold on for the win.

Well done to both teams for serving up another thrilling decider.
