Diarmuid MacConville - Independent
Another independent candidate hoping for victory is Diarmuid MacConville.
MacConville is running for election on an anti-immigration, anti-EU and anti-technology platform.
Also known as ‘The Straw Man’, the farmer lives in Killavoggy, on a farm which hosts crops and animals.
The father of three is a self-professed musician, dancer, singer, and has no religious affiliation.
In his own words, “I don’t like to go over the top with self praise, but I am so much better than the rest of the candidates.”
