The 2026 Glenties Harvest Fair Festival is in full swing.

Featuring live music, comedy, sporting events, and the main attraction, a traditional street fair day, the festival will run until Sunday, September 13.

The opening weekend saw an array of events including competitions and entertainment; however, there is still much to come. Tuesday features a jam-packed evening of events kicking off with a quad reversing competition at Glen Farm Supplies at 6pm. At 7:30pm, the Charles McGuinness 5k Perpetual Cup will take place, with registration at the gym beforehand.

The Harvest Fair Bingo will kick off at 9pm in the Glenties Market Hall and the Quiz Kings speed quiz will take over the Highland’s Hotel at 9:30pm. Wednesday is comedy night with William Thompson starting at 8pm and Thursday will see The Whistlin Donkeys perform at 8pm.

For the closing weekend, a surf school is planned for 2:30pm Friday, and a pet show at 6:30pm. Live music on the main street begins at 6pm and Roddy’s Bar, Leo’s Bar, The Thatch and The Highlands will also have live music.

Saturday is the star of the show as the traditional fair day takes place. There will be an array of street traders, traditional crafts, live music, a sheep mart and auction. That night at 11pm, Red Alert and DJ Dave Duke will provide live music in the Highlands Hotel.

The festival will wrap on Sunday, September 13, with a horticulture show from 1pm to 6pm. There will be live street music, a float parade with marching bands and a carnival. The Country Night begins at 5pm in the Highland’s Hotel, which will see Conor O’Donnell, Shaun McMonagle and Jack Keogh entertain the crowds.
