Donegal Airport to receive €346,000 funding

Donegal Airport, based at Carrickfinn, has operations for Air Corps and Marine Search and Rescue Services as well as commercial flights

Donegal Airport has been granted €346,000 as part of the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025.

Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien announced the funding, including an €5.664 million allocation for Ireland West Airport and €1.813 million funding for Kerry Airport.

Donegal Airport would see an “expanded production of electricity from renewable sources”, said Minister O’Brien, as well as new safety and security upgrades. 

He said: “This level of targeted support is an indication of the importance Government attaches to our regional airports which facilitate connectivity.”

Donegal Airport, based at Carrickfinn, has operations for Air Corps and Marine Search and Rescue Services as well as commercial flights.
