'This could have put people's health and safety at risk,' Míchéal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig said

A Donegal County Councillor has said it is his understanding that traffic lights were tampered with and their batteries stolen in the west of the county.

Míchéal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig says the lights at An Céideadh (Keadue) have been out of commission and expects them to be fixed, although he ,believes something more sinister was at play.

“The traffic lights at An Céideadh are broken and I have this reported,” he posted.

“Someone is in their way now, but what I was told was that on Friday night the batteries from both traffic lights were stolen and this is unacceptable. Remember, with the traffic lights not working, this could have put people's health and safety at risk.”
