Brigid undertook the challenge to raise awareness and help those in need
Annagry’s Brigid O’Donnell walked over 80 kilometres in February to raise funds for Women’s Aid.
Brigid undertook the challenge to raise awareness and help those in need. “I tried to walk about 4.5 kilometres in the morning and then 1.5 kilometres in the evening,” Brigid told DonegalLive.
Women’s Aid is a registered charity aimed at preventing domestic violence. Across Ireland, one in three women lives with suffocating abuse from someone they once loved or trusted. Every 5 minutes, someone reaches out to Women’s Aid for information and support.
“Every euro raised is helping to end violence against women,” Brigid said. “By supporting Women’s Aid, you can change lives and save lives.”
