London representative selected for 59th Mary from Dungloe Festival

Eva O'Sullivan was selected as the 2026 London Mary

Eva O’Sullivan has been selected as the London representative for this year’s Mary from Dungloe International Arts Festival. 

The 21-year-old from Bushey, England, has strong Donegal connections through her grandparents, who hail from Gortahork. 

Currently training to become a teacher, Eva has a deep love of Irish music. She is an accomplished musician, playing the silver flute, wooden flute, concertina and tin whistle. Eva is also an All Britain Competition winner on the concertina, reflecting her dedication and talent in traditional music.

The 2026 London selection took place at the Hilton Canopy Hotel, Aldgate. The 2026 Connacht Mary will be selected at Gracies Bar, Sligo, on Friday, March 6. The 2026 Gaeltacht Mary selection will take place on Saturday, March 21, in the Waterfront Hotel, Dungloe. For the 2026 Midlands Mary, the selection will take place at the Cavan Crystal Hotel on Friday, March 27, at 7pm.

Shauna McDonagh has already been selected as the 2026 Dungloe Mary, Gracie Trimble will represent the Wild Atlantic Way, while Rhiana Wasson will represent the county as the Donegal Mary. 

Last year, fifteen ladies were selected and Dungloe Mary Ellie Ward was crowned Mary from Dungloe at the annual Crowning Cabaret. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from Saturday, July 25, to Monday, August 3.
