Traffic management will be operational during the replacement of water mains in Ardara.
The project, which will begin in the coming days, aims to replace 175 metres of ageing water mains in Ard Chonaill. The project will be carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Farrans Construction and is expected to be completed in early summer.
Uisce Éireann have advised that the traffic will be managed to ensure safety, while local and emergency access will be maintained at all times. Some short‑term water outages may be required during the works,

“These works in Ard Chonaill will build a more resilient network. Our crews will work diligently to complete the project as quickly as possible, and we thank the community for their patience and cooperation as these essential works progress.”

Delivered as part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, this upgrade will help strengthen the reliability of the local water supply by installing new water service connections, reducing the risk of bursts, supporting more stable water pressure, and minimising supply interruptions.
