Thirteen-year-old Charlie Patton, playing off a seven handicap on the day, returned a magnificent score of +3 on a card, which hosted four birdies

St Eunan's College pupil Charlie Patton finished top of the leaderboard on Tuesday last at the prestigious Golf Ireland Ulster Schools Boys Golf Competition, played at Omagh Golf Club.

Thirteen-year-old Charlie, playing off a seven handicap on the day, returned a magnificent score of +3 on a card, which hosted four birdies and has seen his club handicap at Letterkenny Golf Club reduced to the single figure of nine.

Charlie, a member of Letterkenny GC Junior/Juvenile golf programme, is coached by local PGA Professional Seamus Mc Monagle and is the son of renowned single-figure handicapper Seamus Patton. 

Charlie will now represent Ulster Schools and St. Eunan's College in the All-Ireland GUI Ulster Schools Boys Golf competition.
