An Inishowen football club is distressed and annoyed to discover their recently completed car park has been attacked by vandals.

The incident occurred earlier this week when the new tarmac car park was damaged with some white substance spread by the wheels of a scooter.

"Whether this damage was accidental or malicious, it is shocking and disappointing that anyone would do such vandalism to a community facility.

"The incident has been reported to the gardaí and we are appealing for anyone that was in the area around that time that might have information that will help in the investigation to come forward," a spokesperson said.
