Rossnowlagh to host ‘Dips for Palestine’ fundraiser

A ‘Dips For Palestine’ event will be held at Rossnowlagh on June 28 to raise money for medical aid for Palestinians.

The event, which is being organised by Diana Murphy and Pauline Quinn, will feature yoga, music, and a talk from a visitor who has recently returned from Palestine. Attendees can also avail themselves of the use of saunas at the event.

Diana told Donegal Live: “The reason for the event is to raise money for medical aid for Palestine. We have a QR code on the posters and the posts that people can donate directly to a charity that takes care of medical aid. We hand people straight to the charity itself.

“The reason we wanted to do this is because the situation out there is really dire. There is such a feeling of hopelessness and hopefulness about what is going on. We just want to do something to help.

“What people can expect on the night itself is that we will be beginning with a dip in the saunas. OM Saunas from Rossnowlagh have kindly donated the use of their saunas for the evening, which will then be followed by some music. Several musicians are travelling from different locations.

“There is a lady coming to do a drumming circle and we have a yoga teacher. We have invited people to bring their own songs to anything they would like to perform themselves.

“We have a lady who has just come back from Palestine who will be talking about that as well.”
