Arranmore Island’s Cultural Centre granted extension planning permission

Arranmore Cultural Centre

Conditional planning permission has been granted for the extension of Arranmore Island’s Cultural Centre. 

The planning permission will accommodate two offices or general-purpose rooms, and all associated site development works at the site at Fallagowan, Arranmore Island. Furthermore, there are plans for a small toilet room and a kitchen/storage room.

An extended floor area of 53.5 square metres is planned to be added to the existing building, enlarging the size of the building by over 50%. 

Noreen Muldowney, of Arranmore Co-operative, was the listed applicant for the submitted application. 

As well as the existing cultural centre, the immediate site includes a number of holiday cottages. In 2021, permission was granted for the site to have six campervan pitches and electricity connection points to be built on the site.
