Male trio sought for attempted trailer theft outside Donegal Town

Attempted trailer theft happened on road near to Clar Church

A group of three males attempted to steal a trailer outside of Donegal Town,  which occurred on the evening of Saturday, September 13. 

The incident happened in the townland of Meenadreen, near Clar Chapel, on a road off the N15 at approximately 11pm. 

Three males were disturbed in a yard whilst pushing the trailer, and then fled on foot through the nearby fields.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have travelled in the area of the N15 at Clar, or any of the local roads near Clar Chapel or Leghowney Hall between 10pm and midnight on September 13, with a dash-cam, to make footage available to Gardaí.

A statement read: “If anyone observed three males on foot in the area, we also ask them to get in touch with us.

“Gardaí in Ballyshannon may be contacted on 071 9858530 in connection with the incident.”
