Donegal District Court
A Wexford man was fined in Donegal Town District Court for speeding offences whilst driving a lorry outside Donegal Town.
Sigitas Grigaliunas, 54, of 2 Rose Cottages, Schoolhouse Road, Rosbercon, New Ross, Wexford, pleaded guilty to driving at a speed which exceeded the ordinary speed limit of 80kph, whilst driving a White Scania lorry on the N15 in Drumrat, Donegal Town on September 9, 2024.
Grigaliunas, who was present at the District Court and has had no previous convictions, was fined by Judge Éiteáin Cunningham €320 for being contrary to Section 47 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (as inserted by Section 11 of the Road Traffic Act 2004 and amended by Section 76 of the Road Traffic Act 2010), and contrary to Section 102 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (as amended by Section 18 of the Road Traffic Act 2006).
