Derelict Padraig's College in Annagry
An appeal lodged to An Coimisiún Pleanála against the planned conversion of a former Irish college in Annagry to become residential accommodation and a writer’s studio has been withdrawn.
Donegal County Council had granted conditional planning permission for the project in September, however, an appeal was almost immediately lodged by appellants against the proposed plans to An Coimisiún Pleanála.

Padraig’s College, a vacant building in the townland of Meenaleck, will be renovated, with a new wastewater treatment system, and all associated site works included in the planning application.
Dominic Whoriskey Building Design & Surveyors, who had written on behalf of Ms Ní Churreáin, said: “The property is to be restored to its original condition with the restoration of the external facade in keeping with the school style.”
