Permission sought for glamping tourist facility near Ardara

Planning application submitted to Donegal County Council for Ardara glamping facility

Donegal County Council has received a planning application for the erection of glamping pods near Ardara.

Proposals submitted are for three glamping pods located in Newtownburke, six kilometres west of Ardara, along with a car parking area, proprietary sewerage treatment, percolation area and associated site works.

Glamping is a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping.

John McNelis is the named listed applicant for the submitted application. 

Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the application for January 30, 2026.
