Proposed site of Glebe properties
A planning application has been submitted to Donegal County Council for the construction of four properties in Glebe, Letterkenny.
The planned development consists of two four-bed detached houses and two three-bed semi-detached houses in a plot of land off Cluain Airne, Glebe, Letterkenny.
MCM Associates, writing on behalf of the applicant, John Sweeney, stated that the development was a “creation of a high-quality living environment for residents and enhancement of the social, environmental and visual quality of the area, keeping in line with the existing development, which shares a proposed site access road.”

They also commented that the development’s design promotes “the concepts of enclosure, clear separation of public/private realm and good permeability as the means to achieve a high-quality living environment.”
MCM Associates added: “It is proposed that this development be of exceptionally high quality and provide residents with a high-quality living experience. It will match the design and quality of the existing development, Cluain Airne, which has been finished to an exceptional level overall.”
Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the submitted application for February 17, 2026.
