Previous festival of Ballyshannon's Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival
Organisers of the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival have announced the line-up for the festival’s 2026 edition, with Billy F. Gibbons and the BFG Band headlining the Saturday slot.
This year’s events in the popular Ballyshannon-based festival take place from May 28 to May 31 and feature a host of blues rock musicians.
Billy F. Gibbons has been described by organisers as “the heart and soul of ZZ Top” and is “cherished as one of the world’s greatest blues-rock guitarists.
“His iconic growl, heard in hits like ‘La Grange,’ ‘Sharp Dressed Man,’ and ‘Cheap Sunglasses,’ resonates deeply with fans worldwide.”
Joining Billy F. Gibbons at the Big Top on Saturday, May 30, are the Johnny Gallagher Boxty Band and DEUCE - A Tribute to Rory Gallagher.

Playing the Big Top on Friday, May 29 are Rory Gallagher’s Band of Friends, The Pat McManus Band with Jim Lockhart and Barry Devlin, and Heavy Duty Band.
The Rory Gallagher All-Star Band, featuring a number of special guests play at the Big Top on Sunday, May 31, as well as Nine Below Zero, and Zac Schulzegang.
Fans are expected to descend on Ballyshannon from all over the world, where, from free open-air gigs and pub sessions to the legendary Big Top Concerts, the entire town transforms into a festival village.
